Welcome to the City of Denton Building Inspections. In the City of Denton, building codes and ordinances have been adopted to ensure safe buildings.
The City's Building Inspection Department is responsible for issuing permits and inspecting all construction and alterations that occur within the City.
Inspections are required for all permits issued. Please call for an inspection if your project has not been inspected.
There are two ways to set-up inspections:
By Phone (IVR System) - call 940-349-8648 and you will be asked for your PIN (password) number. You were given a PIN number when you registered as a contractor. If you have forgotten your PIN or if you never received a PIN number please call 940-349-8360 for assistance. After you are in the IVR system follow the instructions. You will also be able to pay any outstanding fees by phone, this is a new feature.
